<description>I am a big fan of the genre, but I find both Patricia Briggs&#039; Mercedes Thompson series and Kim Harrison&#039;s Rachel Morgan series a better, more compelling read.  ( I am not even going to bring up Laurell K. Hamilton Anita Blake, clearly superior to all mentioned above).  
Of course, Huff pre-dates them all, and that&#039;s big point.</description>
