Hillary did not want to answer: Is Barack qualified to be commander in chief? No, she wanted to rebut Barack’s comment on her mandate. Did Hillary loose her cool tonight? Barack brought up the fines that would be imposed. He went there — she erupted and started waving her arms to keep the argument alive. Was Hillary finally ready to answer “is Barack ready to lead the country?” She touted the past in general and Kosovo in particular. But Kosovo had a violent breakdown this week and Bill’s brokered peace over there, back when has expired. New Deals, New Wars
You choose. Which one will voters choose in November—more wars or more investment in infrastructure? Heloise wants to know what's so conservative about a three-trillion dollar war? King reminded them that the people will choose between a decorated war hero in John McCain and one of the two sitting on the stage. Both candidates in this debate and on the stump have clearly delineated massive workfare projects that are reminiscent of FDR’s “New Deal.”
Finally, the closing remarks were touching. Hillary was so human. For crying out loud I thought they were about to kiss. LOL. This couple can be saved, I think. Their political marriage will survive the debates, and the words exchanged. I packed my gear and walked back up Dedman Street towards my car. I saw neither candidate but lots of supporters, police presence and motorcades. Just as was leaving Dedman Street traffic was stopped. An officer was radioed that the Obama motorcade was moving. Two minutes later his fast-moving motorcade whizzed by at light speed.
