Making the Rounds at General Hospital - Abused and Confused
Published February 21, 2008
While waiting for Kate to come out of surgery, Sonny went through the complete gamut of emotions. From pulling a gun on Trevor, threatening to knock Johnny into next week, yelling at Jax to stay out of it, to breaking completely down in tears, the man is obviously so in love with Kate and distraught that his life of crime has caused another innocent to pay.
I do have one question. How long is it going to take for someone to realize Michael ran away from home?
Coming up (Spoiler):
And the text-message killer is…
Does anyone really care anymore? I've seen bits and pieces of this information floating around for awhile, but since we've been tossed so many fake spoilers regarding it, I was waiting patiently, hoping it was wrong. Now that the preview clip is floating around the net, I guess it's time to accept it's true.
Diego Alcazar is the text-message killer. Yeah, I know. Sam shot him. He was dead. Lorenzo went and buried him in the family vault. It's a soap, remember?
The only true clue has been Kristina's scream and now catatonic state. Diego was in love with Georgie. Diego didn't even know Emily. Why in the world would Diego kill Cooper? Let me guess, it was all about Sonny after all. Guess what, writers, no world should revolve so much around one man, even if the actor that portrays him is as talented as Maurice Benard.
Let me guess, somehow some way it will be superman Jason who saves the day and unravels the case?

Here is a link to the youtube video of the 411 promo that shows him take the mask off and reveal himself to Sam?
Why he would target Sam and Alexis are somewhat obvious. The rest of it doesn't fit and I don't care how hard they try to piece the puzzle together, I hate it!
Rumors started weeks ago that the actor was back on set and that Diego would be tied to the case. Many speculated that Danial was Diego with a new face courtesy of Dr. Devlin, and the actor was doing back-story scenes.
As you can see in the clip, that is not the case, though I do suspect Dr. Devlin is a part of it. At the end of today's episode we saw the TMK pop a prescription pill in his mouth - most likely the same one Cooper and Logan were taking.
I agree, it's a cop-out solution to a storyline that got way off track weeks ago!
This has to rank with the alien story when Robin was a kid as one of the silliest.
It's a deus ex machina of bad writing. Daniel, at least, could have been rationalized as a random killer, just as in real life. But, yet another resurrection? No one seems to stay dead.
And Diego was a good kid to start. Yes, they did that silly story where he tried to avenge Sage's death, although he never knew her, but c'mon: Grant Putnam was deranged after years of captivity, Ryan Chamberlain was batty from the get go, and Cesar Faison was a trained killer. Kevin O'Connor was a believable twist, and made sense. Even Joe Atkins was a cop killer known b4 he made an appearance.
Yes, he hates Sam for shooting him, and Alexis for killing his uncle. Georgie did reject him, but Georgie's last smiling shot, b4 death, from the killer's POV, is all wrong. She'd've been shocked that Diego was still alive, whereas she smiled only casually, which suggested Daniel. This had to be a desperation move. And why kill Emily? Leticia was just a nanny. And why and how could he overpower the bigger and stronger Cooper?
Cop out. Boo!
WOW Dan!
Long time fan! I remember the Robin/Alien story. I tease my daughter now, wondering if Robin will name her baby 'Casey' after said alien.
I'm very disappointed by Diego being the TMK for many of the reasons you stated. Don't get me wrong, the character and the actor are both great, and it's not even the back from the dead that bothers me. That device is so overused, it's trite if nothing else.
My main beef is we were given a mystery and there was suppose to be clues along the way. Sure you expect some red herrings and some twists, but there also should have been some small tidbits for the viewer that really pointed in the direction of the killer. The only one that has pointed to Diego is Kristina returning to a catatonic state last week.
The killer should have been someone we saw at the black and white ball. It wasn't. The ending was contrived just to bail them out of a story they lost control of.
Yeah, Kristina saw Diego die, and now he's a ghost to her, but at least Daniel as Diego w a new face wd have been believable.
But, if they can bring back Diego, I hope they bring AJ back from the dead.
This def smacks of being discombobulated by the writer's strike.
My first comment seems to have merged w comment 2. Is there a problem with the comment section?
Yes, we should have seen Diego, or at least had a hint that a long time viewer, at least, could have gone....maybe?
TMK aka Diego is in Sam's apartment with her at the end of Friday's show. This will kick into high gear next week and we will find out what hows and whys they are going to use to explain themselves.
But yes, I certainly think the story was a casualty of the writer's strike.
