Hellboy II: The Golden Army - Trailer
A few years back director Guillermo Del Toro brought Mike Mignola's graphic novel creation to vivid life on the big screen. The film was an absolute blast. Now, Del Toro returns to Mignola's playground with a sequel to that hit. I have to say that the sequel looks a heck of a lot better than the first. Del Toro is a director who seems to have had a split personality, making incredible films in his native Spanish, with The Devil's Backbone and the brilliant Pan's Labyrinth, as well as fun Hollywood styled fare like Mimic and the first Hellboy. With Pan's Labyrinth it appears that he may have turned a corner in his career where he blends his indie and Hollywood sensibilities together to the benefit of all. This trailer seems to have a larger vision and a better grasp on what he wants to do. I can only hope the film lives up to the trailer.
Wall-E - Trailer
When this teaser first rolled during the lead-in to National Treasure: Book of Secrets, I was floored. It wasn't that the story was fascinating (although I hope that it is), it was the animation. There is no one, and I mean no one, who can do computer animation like Pixar. Everyone else has to play catch up whenever a new movie with the Pixar logo attached to it comes out. The animation and the look of this teaser are absolutely incredible. Not to mention that it seems like they can do no wrong (even if the story of Cars left me a little, ahem, flat). Check out the trailer below, and be sure to check it out in HD, it is beautiful.
