Movie Media: Star Trek XI, The Midnight Meat Train, The Forbidden Kingdom, Definitely Maybe, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Wall-EAll

Sorry for missing last week's edition. Life conspired against me whenever I found time to write, so I was not able to gather any trailers and posters together for you. I will try to not let that happen in the future. As it is, I wanted this to be something of a super-sized edition, but that was not to be either. I will try to make it up to you down the line with a larger than normal column, okay?
Anyway, welcome back to the Movie Media column, featuring trailers, posters, and clips for upcoming films. Some are nice and fresh, and some aren't. However, they all have something in common: for better or worse, they all caught my attention. If there is a poster or trailer you think I should check out, be sure to let me know.
This week's movie goodies include trailers, posters, and stills covering the entire year from a fast approaching romantic comedy, to a big budget summer sequel, to a Christmas time sci-fi re-imagining, plus new animated fare, a horror trailer, and more!
Star Trek XI - Trailer
It is here, the first teaser trailer for the JJ Abrams film that is slated for release Christmas 2008. I was jazzed when I heard that Abrams would be taking on the project; it is what the franchise needs, some fresh blood. However, my excitement faded as the casting was announced. Now don't get me wrong, I am sill eagerly looking forward to it, but some of the casting doesn't feel right. For example: Simon Pegg as Scotty, John Cho as Sulu, and Karl Urban as McCoy. Seems like odd casting. Then there are ones that I feel a little better about — Chris Pine as Kirk looks good, as does Zachary Quinto as Spock. Add Eric Bana as the Romulan villain and it looks decent. After seeing the trailer I could not help but feel a little geek giddy. It is a classy trailer revealing the original Enterprise as it is being built. As an added bonus there is the voice of Leonard Nimoy (who will be in the movie) and there is a feeling of respect for the material. Also, let's not forget the taste of the Michael Giacchino score. I want to see this. JJ, please don't let me (us) down.
The Midnight Meat Train - Poster, Still, Trailer
Ready for a little bit of blood and guts with your subway ride? The trailer looks suitably creepy, and the poster and still I have gotten ahold of seem to support that idea. Bradley Cooper stars as a photographer working for Brooke Shields, who witnesses some nastiness committed by Vinnie Jones. This marks Japanese director Ryuhei Kitamura's (Versus, Azumi) English language debut working from source material provided by horror legend Clive Barker. I don't know about you, but this could prove to be a slice of excellence (please). Anyway, take a look for yourself:
