TV Review: Prison Break - "Dirt Nap"

When you have this much buffoonish Brad Bellick and master negotiator and strategist supreme Teddy Bagwell, it’s hard for me to complain.

Tales of the Stupid: Sammy, Bellick, and Sucre

So Sammy’s coup d'etat lasted about two hours or so after Michael lost his cherry and finally killed someone. Personally, I’ve had enough with Michael’s conscience. All hell has broken loose; Michael should finally realize that it’s a long shot that he’s going to survive and that it’s time to dispense with the morality. There are no more rules.

This episode was utterly predictable, but fun nonetheless. When Michael braces a ton of dirt with a little piece of metal, you can be sure that he’ll be removing it and dumping all that dirt on someone by the end of the episode.

Also predictable, but absurdly hilarious, was new Heavyweight Champion of the World, Bradley Bellick, challenging Sammy for a place on the escape team and then suddenly realizing that he had no more acetone to cheat with. I was shocked that Brad hadn’t loaded his mitts up with the fluid before he even challenged Sammy, but I guess it was funny to see him go from super cocky to about to soil himself in about thirty seconds. “Stomp him, Brad!”

It was even predictable that Brad got beat up about as violently and as close to death as possible, before getting saved at the last second by a call of “Sammy, it’s Scofield!”

The Sucre vs. Gretchen battle of wits wasn’t much of a contest was it? Poor cute Sucre, we had almost forgotten how stupid he was. Not cute was Jodi Lyn O’Keefe going Medusa and threatening to add Maricruz’ dome to her collection of escapee lovers' heads. Seriously, that chick freaks me out. Hopefully, that bomb Sucre left and failed to recover from under her car seat will blow her to bits, but I doubt it.

Smartest Move in Show History

Lincoln hitting on Whistler’s (or whatever his name is) way hot girlfriend, Sophia.

Meanwhile Michael and Whistler Get Comfy

These two sexy boys had another little spat and then were suddenly taking noble risks with their lives for each other. After all that love Michael showed him, you’d think that Whistler wouldn’t have made that ignorant crack at the end about Michael’s engineering skills.

Lechero Triumphant

If you’ve just quelled a coup attempt, kicking your traitors' dead bodies off an overhang is always a good way to retake power.
