I was a little worried at 6:30 PM when I saw no PSN update, 'here we go again' I thought, but boy was I wrong! This is a stellar update that more then makes up for last week's dismal offering. The first big one is an updated Super Stardust HD Demo, plus the announced patch that freely updates your old version of the game to the new one with extra features and upgrade paths for expansions. We also have the Kane & Lynch demo, some more awesome Folklore add-ons, Rock Band songs, Crash Bandicoot PS1 Classic, some (groan) more pay for cheat code cars for NFS: Pro Street and a smattering of game and movie videos.

This is a great update; it arrived late but was worth it. What makes it more exciting is now we have official word about in-game XMB coming 'sometime' this year and that Sony is looking at offering a similar but more robust and rewarding achievements system. The more I see everyday I think this will be the year of the Playstation again! Please note all prices are in US dollars.
