It must be tough being a teenager under the spotlight. It's hard for me to be a teenager and I'm not under the spotlight. Some teens can handle it. Others break down and are destined to be the next Britney Spears. So now, I want to reward the stars. Find out who I (with help from my twin sister, Amanda, and my mom, who only picked Mr. Patrick Dempsey - who is not a teenager. She's so not helpful.) have picked as Winners of the Teen Star Awards of 2007.

The "It" Girl
This award goes to the female celebrity everyone knows. I can't even pick up a magazine without seeing her name. Miley Cyrus was an obvious shoe-in for this award. Miley is the star of the teenaged show, Hannah Montana, on Disney Channel. Her Hannah Montana tour was sold out and then tickets were scalped for $3,000 dollars each. Miley father, Billy Ray Cyrus, also stars in Hannah Montana. I admire that Miley keeps a tight relationship with her father. She's a great role model.

The "It" Guy
As much as I think he's cocky and overrated, Zac Efron still gets the award for the "It" guy. Zac stars in the High School Musical movies and Hairspray. Although he's dating costar, Vanessa Hudgens, girls go wild for Efron. This quality makes him worthy of the "It" guy title.

Best Band
The Best Band Award goes to the band of 2007. The winning band is the Jonas Brothers. The band is composed of Joe, Kevin, and Nick Jonas. Some of the more popular songs are "S.O.S." and "Hold On." The band toured with Miley Cyrus. The band is now into acting. Disney Channel gave them a movie, premiering on Disney Channel soon, as well as the TV series J.O.N.A.S! (also starring Chelsea Staub, whom BC magazine interviewed). These brothers are going to make it big.

Best Female Singer
This award is hard for me to give because the winner is obvious - but I hate them. The award for Best Female Singer goes to sisters, Aly and AJ. I don't care how many people like them, I just don't. Oh well. The girls' CD is called Insomniatic and includes songs like the "Potential Break-Up Song."

A close second was Jordin Sparks, winner of American Idol.

Best Male Singer
Okay, I may be a little biased because he is my favorite singer. Corbin Bleu, the guy with the poodle as hair, wins this award. Corbin is a gifted dancer and starred in the High School Musical movies and the TV series Flight 29 Down. Corbin's CD includes "Deal With It" and "She Could Be." Great album. Corbin toured with Aly and AJ and Drake Bell. I missed his tour; I was not happy. I did, however, see him at the High School Musical tour.
