Jamie Lynn Spears Confirms Pregnancy

Now, this is just me, but if I were the star actress on a very successful TV show, I would never be getting pregnant at sixteen and ruining my career. But then there's Jamie Lynn Spears. Whether she deserved it or not, Jamie Lynn was the star of her very own TV series, Zoey 101.
Now, at sixteen, she's confirmed that she is twelve weeks pregnant. The father is her long-time boyfriend, Casey Aldridge. The two were seen apartment shopping over the summer in Valencia, California. However, Jamie Lynn is toying with the idea of raising the baby in Louisiana "so it can have a normal family life." Jamie Lynn met Casey in LA through church and they have been dating for a couple of years.
After taking two weeks to realize her mistake, Jamie went to her parents and friends for support. Her mother commented, in an interview for OK! magazine, "I didn't believe it because Jamie Lynn's always been so conscientious. She's never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby."
I, however, am not surprised. I mean, really, who didn't see this coming? Look at her last name: Spears. Look at the Spears family. Her big sister shaved her head, eloped with two different guys in Vegas, married K-Fed, had two children (with a third on the way), and has a history of running over the media's feet. Need I go on? I mean, the whole family is messed up. I hate Jamie Lynn with all my heart (I dare not go on my rant on her acting skills), but this is just pathetic. Way to throw your life away. I knew it was coming. Just like I knew "Baby V" was bad news. This is just another example of being a horrible role model.
So, what happens to the show? Well, the season three cliffhanger entitled "Goodbye Zoey" airs January 4. Zoey has the option of moving to London, but will Chase's love confession change her mind? Dun, dun, dun. Dan Schneider, the producer, has confirmed that the fourth season has completed filming and will premiere in February.
People like Jamie make me so mad. I mean, honestly, she has this great life — despite her twisted family — and she throws it all away. The good news is, I don't have to see her on my TV ever again, and maybe Dan Schneider will give the show to someone respectable and deserving, instead of Jamie Lynn, who gets it because she has a famous sister and then throws it all away. Hey, you think Jamie will learn that car seats are a must for her kid?
Maddy is 17 and starts her senior year of high school this fall. She is an active writer for her school paper and excels in AP classes. She has a twin and loves the Pittsburgh Steelers. She has a radio show (part of the BC Radio Network) on Wednesdays at 5 PM available at BlogTalkRadio.

Shes acting like just like her sister well I see the apple don't fall far from the tree. As for any nitwits defending Jamie Lynn's carelessness, and lack of concern for her life, career and family - Jeebus get a grip.
Babies are a blessing - IF and ONLY IF they are had by mature, reasonable and age-appropriate people. None of which describes Jamie Lynn, or anyone in her extended family.
This sends a horrifyingly awful message to our young people and I pray Nickelodeon dumps her like a bad habit. Today's up and coming stars are really doing a number on this country's impressionable youth.

Honestly I have to agree with the person below me. We do not live the same lifestyle as them. The scrutiny they undergo daily would be hell for any of us. I will not lie, I have have my own fair share of scares. Well 2 to be exact but Contraception was used. So any person who would say she is irresponsible for not using it and that she threw her life away is just trying to be controversial. Contraception is only 98% effective. Every person makes mistakes in their lives, EVEN YOU! So just relax mind your business and deal with your own life, your own problems, and the problems of your loved ones.

Everyone needs to shut their mouth, you do NOT know this girl, so dont judge. Yes she made a mistake but guess what she already knows that and she is owning up to it. And please dont sit there and pretend you havent had sex before marriage, just because you got lucky and didnt get pregnant, so what!?!?! you still did the "deed". So give her the privacy and respect she deservs. ANd then for people calling her family twisted.. uhh do you know them,... no you only know what the media makes of them which isnt even who they are.
