In regards to the general media eating it up, that definitely true.  I was referring more to the general fan. Mostly, I&#039;ve heard a lot of &quot;Yeah, we knew that&quot; already and like I said, even with most fans fully acknowledging rampant abuse, MLB&#039;s numbers are still way up.</description>

<description>i don&#039;t know if anyone expected the entire world to give a darn about the mitchell report, but certainly the sports world has done a heck of a lot more than blink since thursday.

check out espn&#039;s website, newspapers - both major and others - and the televison and radio airwaves and this story is the major focus.  even katie couric is getting into the act with her piece about arod on sunday night&#039;s 60 minutes.</description>
