The last weekend of the ACC season, and everything is just about settled. Several of the in-state rivalry games this weekend, including Duke - UNC, Clemson - South Carolina, Georgia - Georgia Tech, and Florida - Florida State. I'm not sure if I should expect anything incredible from any of these games.

Georgia Tech could salvage some credibility and play spoiler with a win over Georgia, and perhaps the same could be said for Miami against Boston College (along with bowl eligibility). Maryland will travel to NC State, with the winner snagging bowl eligibility and perhaps taking an extra step towards a salvaged season (though Maryland has lost four of their last five, while the Wolfpack has done the opposite).

Last but not least, we have a rather unexpected showdown this year, where Virginia and Virginia Tech not only play their annual rivalry game, but this time it's winner gets to take a crack at Boston College in the ACC title game next weekend. Virginia has been living by the skin of their teeth - last week's 48-0 rout of Miami was only the second time in their last nine games that the outcome was decided by more than five points. They'll look to get a head start on what is a notoriously slow-starting Hokie offense.

Winners: NC State, Georgia, Clemson, Virginia

A short slate presents itself for the mighty Big East conference this weekend, with a mere three games on the schedule.

Cincinnati will attempt to finish out the season by officially burying Syracuse in the cellar and maintaining a national ranking, which shouldn't be difficult given their quick-strke offense and highly opportunistic and turnover generating defense.

Pittsburgh will attempt to continue their creep back towards bowl eligibility and mediocrity with a win over South Florida, where the Bulls are looking for their first nine-win season since 2002.

The biggest game, of course, comes between 20th-ranked Connecticut and 4th-ranked West Virginia. The winner will clinch the Big East championship and a BCS bowl berth, though West Virginia certainly will get a much better bowl than UCONN (assuming they win AND don't let up against Pitt the following weekend).

Winners: Cincinnati, South Florida, West Virginia

To: Big 12 Athletic Conference:
The Big 12 athletic conference should add men's soccer as a sport. Soccer has increased in popularity and boys should have the dream of playing for their favorite Big Twelve team.
