Kansas will look to roll on against Oklahoma State and Iowa State the next two weeks before an end-of-season showdown with Missouri, while Nebraska will face Kansas State and Colorado and try not to finish as the worst team in the conference.

What about the rest of the Top 25? Oklahoma, Missouri, USC, Connecticut, Auburn, Boise State, Florida, Virginia Tech and Clemson handily defeated a group of lesser teams by an average of 46-11. No use babbling about that. Georgia and Michigan struggled more than they should have, but still took down Troy and Michigan State in the end. So the intrigue must lie in the remaining teams, obviously. I already wrote about the thriller that Texas and Oklahoma State played, so let's take a look at the rest:

  • Top ranked Ohio State needed all four quarters to finally arrive at a final score fitting of the number one team. I'll say there's an outside chance they're running low on steam, but I guess we'll find out in the Michigan game. The Buckeyes notched a field goal at the end of the first half to head into the locker with a 10-3 lead, and things suddenly turned bleak when the game resumed. After the kickoff, Wisconsin QB Tyler Donovan went 5-for-6 for 143 yards and two touchdowns before Ohio State could shake themselves out of the fog they seemed to be in. With seven minutes left in the third quarter, the Badgers suddenly had a 17-10 lead. But when the fog lifted, the hammer came down. Ohio State RB Chris Wells ran for his second 30-yard touchdown to start the fourth quarter and give Ohio State the lead back at 24-17, after which Wisconsin foolishly went for it on fourth and three from their own 27. The Badgers then finished off the game by fumbling, then punting, then fumbling again, and Chris Wells' 169 yards and three touchdowns took Wisconsin to a 38-17 victory.

  • Second ranked Boston College struggled early and often against Florida State. In their first three drives, they fumbled at their own 40, then drove to the Florida State 15 were intercepted, then turned a drive that started at the FSU 31 into a missed field goal. That turned a 7-6 FSU halftime lead into 7-0. BC woke up in the second half, but those missed opportunities lead to desperation late in the game, and an interception return with just over a minute left in the game was the nail in a 27-17 loss for the Eagles.
