2007 E for All Recap

Last weekend I made my way to the 2007 E For All convention in Los Angeles, CA. This is the more public kind of little brother to E3, an entire convention dedicated to gaming. Usually this is the time of year that you get all the big announcements for the next couple year's worth of gaming. Now I had gone to E3 for quite a few years, so in comparison it was really quite a small gathering with only a few of the big gaming companies there.

The two biggies to see at the convention were Konami and Nintendo, and neither disappointed. Below is an interview with Ryan Payton, assistant producer of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, an exclusive to E For All was a playable demo of the game. Also playable were Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Mario Party DS from Nintendo.

A surprise that I wasn't expecting to see was the Hewlett Packard booth. They were showing off their new Blackbird 002 gaming PC. Greg Vederman, former Editor-In-Chief of PC Gamer magazine, who left PC Gamer to come work on this machine, took me through the system. On the whole it was a great convention and I can only hope that the convention grows in size in the coming years. A definite must see if you can make it to Los Angeles. Enjoy the video!
