Last week, there was little in the way of Virtual Console/WiiWare news. This week more than makes up for it with one huge announcement:

WiiWare Announcements A Plenty: At a recent press conference, Nintendo and other developers announced new WiiWare titles. Here's a brief breakdown of all the games announced by developer:

Nintendo

Pokemon Bokujou Channel (English: Pokemon Ranch Channel) - Using your DS and Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, you can now transfer your Pokemon to your Wii and manage them there in a free-range ranch type of environment. The game will include Mii support, allowing you to wander around as your Mii amongst your Pokemon and do things like take pictures with them or play with them.

Dr. Mario & Saikin Bokumetsu (English: Dr. Mario and Bacteria Extermination) - A Dr. Mario remake, this game will not only feature Wi-Fi online play, but will allow you to put your Miis in the game in place of Dr. Mario. other than that, it seems the traditional Dr. Mario game play will be left intact.

Maruboushikaku - This title is a puzzle game using three different patterns at the same time: maru (circle), bou (line) and shikaku (square). Each pattern is displayed in its own game window, with three separate windows open simultaneously.

Minna de Puzzloop (English: Magnetica) - Many of you probably know this from the DS game of the same name, and it seems that there's no difference here besides using the Wii remote for control instead of the DS stylus.

Hudson

Bomberman - A new game in Hudson's classic series for the Wii. Other than it's announcement, little is known about this title currently.

Star Solider R - Like Bomberman, this is a new game in the series. Currently, not much else is known about it besides that it is in the works.

Joy Sound - A karaoke-related game that will feature a number of different mimi-games, as well as occasional updates to the song list. Hudson plans to release a USB microphone with the game. They also plan to bundle the mic in a package version, which will include a disk featuring party games, mini games and a number of popular songs.

Square Enix

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Young King and the Promised Land - A "country building RPG", this game will apparently tell the story of what happened after the original Crystal Chronicles on the Gamecube. It centers around a king who lost his kingdom to the Miasma, but with the help of powers he's gained form the crystals, is set to rebuild his nation. It is currently the only WiiWare titled listed with a price -1,500 Wii Points.

Arc System Works

Okiraku Ping Pong Wii - A ping-pong title, using the Wii remote to control the paddle. Two types of controls are featured: automatic movement which lets you only worry on timing your swings, and manual movement, where you take care of everything related to hitting the ping pong ball. This game will feature a challenge mode where you can earn items and four player, split-screen doubles action.

All of these games are set to launch no sooner than March 2008, when the WiiWare service begins in Japan. No North American release dates or info is currently available.

As for this week's released titles, we get our first CD game for the TurboGrafx with Gate of Thunder, plus two other classics:
