If the phrase "Good perfume comes in small bottles" can be applied to Public Relations, this book is the best example of it. At 196 pages, this book is a breeze to read, yet it is packed with great advice for the PR newbie like me.

All I know about PR I've learned in the past few months, as I have worked to raise awareness about diabetes and TuDiabetes.com, a community for people touched by diabetes. Besides the advice of a good friend at work who works in PR, all I've learned comes from PR Idea Book: 50 Proven Tools That Really Work.

If you want to learn about some of the proven tools that get your product or service out there in a good light, you need to read this book. The author has over 25 years of experience, so he knows what he’s talking about. Yet he is concise and effective in delivering his expertise, so you don't have to spend a ton of time reading it in order to get something good out of it.

The book assigns a chapter to each of the tools discussed and regardless of how much you’ve read about PR or worked in Public Relations, I contend that it will be a useful reference even for veterans in this space, refreshing some techniques you may have seen in school or elsewhere before.

Overall, highly recommendable!
