Wii Zapper, Training Game to Hit November 19

For those of you wondering about the Wii Zapper and why we have heard little on it since E3, Nintendo has hopefully answered some of your questions.

Today, Nintendo finally announced a release date and price for the Wii Zapper: November 19th is when the game will hit the shelves, likely chosen as the release date in celebration of the Wii's one-year anniversary. The peripheral, which reminds me of an old-school Tommy gun, will set you back $20, but will come with a training game: Link's Crossbow Training.

Link's Crossbow Training returns everybody to the world of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, where we once more play as Link, but this time wielding a crossbow. Link will have to progress through a series of tests to perfect his crossbow marksmanship, starting with stationary bull's-eyes and graduate to moving targets before defending Link against all kinds of enemies.

Also announced was official third party support for the Wii Zapper in some upcoming titles. Capcom's Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, Sega's Ghost Squad and EA's Medal of Honor Heroes 2 will all support the Wii Zapper. Medal of Honor Heroes 2 will also include single player, arcade mode and support for up to 32 players in multiplayer.
