NBC Universal, which recently made its decision not to renew its contract with Apple's iTunes to sell its TV shows online have said that they will be moving their content to Amazon.com. The move will not take place until NBC Universal's contract is up in December of this year with iTunes. Its reported that NBC has decided to move its content because it disagreed with iTunes pricing of its materials. Although the terms and pricing of its new agreement with Amazon.com have not been publicized, it is likely that Amazon.com offered some of the price increases that iTunes would not.
Facebook set to show profiles to search engines
Facebook has announced that it has launched a service that will enable anyone to view its member's profiles. Facebook have stated that they intend the service to allow limited public listings available to people who are not logged into Facebook. The service will allow non-members to be able to search for people on the Facebook homepage. Facebook will also be making the information available to search engines, which it has not previously done. Facebook will also be giving members the opportunity to keep their listing on the site private.
