Sex Sunk Democrats after Bill — Now Sex Grinds the GOP Down Too
Published September 02, 2007
Power is an aphrodisiac that makes history repeat itself. I predict that the Democrats could make a clean sweep or regain control of the House and the Senate over sex in the 2008 election cycle. The messy “dress” incident notwithstanding and the pre-YouTube televised lie that then-president Bill Clinton told on national TV got him impeached by the Right. Hillary fought the Right, she’s damn right; she has been fighting them for a long time. That increased her vulnerability and it increased her visibility. And now it increases her inevitability.
Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic nominee and winner.
I can't help laughing when reminded of Barney Fife's reaction to the pickle incident when they tried to rig the contest so Aunt Bea could win it with her arsenic pickles. Sheriff Taylor and Barney came to their senses and Taylor told his deputy to start eating pickles and to "learn to love 'em" because they would be eating them for a long time. That's how I see this. We the people are in a pickle. I will have to vote for her as I voted for Bill and Bush. I know who will win, but I want Barack to win. Moreover, if (I mean when) Clinton becomes the candidate, I will still hold my breath for Barack. I do not know what polls to believe in terms of who has the best chance. Some of the informal or online polls give Barack the edge. But in reality, he is not rocking the would-be voters. He has static cling.
Here are plethoras of polls for you to peruse. They are clear: Hillary is not only the “girl on top,” (I gave her that moniker) but Barack is static! That’s not good. Then what are the chances that Hillary will share history with Barack? If he is the VP choice he will make history, and if she is the president then she is real history in the making. It will not matter how many skeletons are dug out of her closet from this life or her last ten, she is the one to beat, and beat up on.
