Welcome to Movie Media - trailers, posters, and clips for upcoming films. Some are nice and fresh, some aren't. However, they all have something in common - they caught my
attention. If there is a poster or trailer you think I should check out, be sure to let me
know, and I will see what I can do.

This week brings trailers and posters for new films from a couple of fantasy adaptations, a video game adaptation, a Brit import, a new one from Steve Carell, and a motion-captured animated take on one of the oldest known writings.

Death at a Funeral - Poster, Trailer

This looks hilarious. A funeral brings a family together, only to have a secret regarding the deceased patriarch come to light which puts a twist on the whole proceeding. Death at a Funeral looks to have a blend of super dry humor and off the wall zaniness. I watch the trailer and cannot help but laugh, from the initial casket opening, to the secret revelation. It also doesn't hurt to have Alan Tudyk and Peter Dinklage in the cast, a couple of familiar faces who know how to work the camera. Frank Oz (Yoda) directs from Dean Craig's script.

Mr. Bean's Holiday - Poster, Stills, Trailer

Rowan Atkinson's Bean is coming back to America in a new film. This time around Mr. Bean wins a vacation at a French beach. Half the fun is going to be getting there. I never saw the first film, but generally, whatever Bean I do see I find to be pretty funny. It should be noted that the film has already opened in the UK, and proven to be a hit there, with hopes to do likewise when it opens in the US on August 24. Below are the poster, some stills, and the trailer to help get you ready for its arrival.

Hitman - Poster, Trailer

This fall will see another video game adapted to the big screen. These translations are a highly iffy proposition. Sure, Mortal Kombat was fun, Silent Hill was creepy, and the Resident Evil series is doing well, but what about Doom, Mortal Kombat II, and Super Mario Bros.? This could prove to be a hardcore action flick, as it centers on a top hitman, known as Agent 47, going out and killing while wearing a snazzy black suit. The trailer looks pretty good, and the poster is downright cool. What could go wrong? Well, the director is a first-time feature director named Xavier Gens, and so is unproven talent. Secondly, it stars Timothy Olyphant (Live Free or Die Hard). He does not look right for the part, he looks kind of goofy. All I can think is that Jason Statham was unavailable. If you have seen the Transporter movies, you would see that he was really the only man for the job.
