Wikia acquires Grub from LookSmart

Wikia Inc. has acquired the web crawler Grub from LookSmart Ltd adding another component to its project to create a search engine that is open-source. The project is drawing from the ideas behind Wikipedia, the encyclopedia built by volunteers. Search Wikia is expected to make its debut before the end of the year. It is not yet clear if the search engine will have a specialty, such as news, or if it will be general use in its first version.

Lydia Lunch, Omar Rodriguez collaborate

New York audio icon Lydia Lunch is collaborating on an EP with Mars Volta's Omar Rodriguez. The EP will contain Lunch's vocals combined with Rodriguez's music. The EP, which will be titled Omar Rodriguez Lopez and Lydia Lunch will be released by Willie Anderson Records. It is expected to be in stores this Autumn.

Kelly Osborne to play Prison Matron

Kelly Osborne has announced that she will be doing a seven week run in Chicago in the West End. Pop singer and former reality TV star Osborne will play the role of Mama Morton at London's Cambridge Theatre starting September 10th.
