Really Really Good: Pills, Prescriptions, Parole, and Previews
Published July 30, 2007
What it mildew, my fellow, old azz earth folk? Got to run the list quick as we wind down another sunny month of monkey business here at the Kayaro/Canhead compound. While the writing game allows me to flex my pen for relaxation and such, the real world gets busier and busier as I juggle like a drunken circus clown. If I happen to pop up in your town, forgive my unannounced intrusion. I'm making this all up as I go along so details may be slim and sketchy. One thing for sure, you won't want to miss none one of my post, baby paw! El Q is really really good at this, as you shall see... read on!
Just A Friendly Game Of Baseball
For years now, I have believed that major league sports are all fixed. Anyone who has been to Las Vegas and bet on a game will tell you that. There is no way that much money will freely flow around a game without someone working the angles. Many people have called me nuts for thinking such a thing. Looks like I may not be too far off in my assumptions, as mobbed-up referees and suspected dog fighters are in the headlines. Here are some of the latest links from the wild world of sports.

Doomed Doctor Finally Freed!
The story of the capture, imprisonment, torture, and final release of medical workers held in Libya is unbelievable. The doctors were charged with deliberately infecting children with the HIV virus and treated to insane degrees of punishment. Recently they were released and pardoned of charges, and their stories are being told to the world. Check out BBC News to see the video of the events leading to their arrest and release.
ABC's Brian Ross reports on Rudy Giuliani's ties to Perdue Frederick, the pharmaceutical company that makes OxyContin. The thought that the same man who has taken a stance against medicinal marijuana use has been tied to one of the strongest drugs ever produced is... well... a sobering one! Some wonder if the former mayor used his influence to delay investigations of Perdue, a company that once employed Giuliani's consulting firm Giuliani Partners and is now under extreme heat, as their infamous little pills, (called Cannibal Ox in our circles) is getting America stoned. Read more on the story and other Rudy news below.
