Dropkick Murphys launch their own record label
The Boston band the Dropkick Murphys are launching their own record label called Born and Bred Records. The label will be distributed by Warner Music's independent label group. The Murphys will be leaving Hellcat Records and will be releasing their next record through their new label. The Meanest of Times is expected to be released on September 18th. It follows up the Dropkick Murphys' 2005 release The Warrior's Code.
Amazon and TiVo have made an agreement that will allow users to directly download Amazon Unbox movies straight to their TiVo boxes. This deal will allow users to sidestep using a computer, making it easier to watch movies using the Amazon Unbox service. This is a step forward over other computer-to-TV options such as Apple TV, which still require users to download movies to their computer and then sync it with the TV before the film can be watched.
Bright Eyes to headline V Festival

The full lineup has been announced and includes the Bravery, The Wombats, Bedouine Soundclash, Remi Nicole, Boy Kill Boy and Plan B. The V Festival will be at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in Staffordshire.
