Music Review: Hannah Montana, Volume II

"Old Blue Jeans," track five, is pretty good. The guitar is awesome in the song. It's about how guys like celebrities and glamour and crap. So, she wonders if she put on Blue Jeans, would guys see her for her? I guess this one has to do with fame, but also everyday life. I think all girls wonder this. I am the opposite. People look down on me. I don't wear the coolest clothes. Basically, jeans and a t-shirt. Whatever's clean.
I really love track six, "Life is What You Make It." It's a good song to listen to when you are upset, because when you listen to it, it cheers you up. Very optimistic. It's infectious. I'm serious. You may find that unbelievable, but it does. Hannah Montana sang it at the Disney Channel Games opening ceremony. The Disney Channel games is like the olmypics for Disney Channel Stars. They play rock paper scissors (the extreme version with people getting knocked off a totem pole).
"One in a Million," track seven, is clearly Amanda's favorite. It's the romantic song, that Hannah Montana premiered during the episode Ackey Jakey Heart (The title a pun on Billy Ray's song, "Ackey Breakey Heart"), when Miley gets her first movie star boyfriend, who has trouble adapting to normal life. He steals water from little kids! I also agree that it's one of the best.
Track Eight is "Bigger than Us." I think it's ok, but not very memorable. It never gets stuck in my head. I just don't feel it. Track Nine ("You and Me Together") is the same thing. It's not bad, but not good.
"True Friend" is the last of the Hannah songs. I really like it. This song was revealed in the episode "Cuffs Will Keep Us Together." In this Miley and Lilly, her best friend, played by Emily Osmet, get in a fight, so they get locked together. Word got out that "True Friends" won an award for best country-pop crossover. So, the two make up. It is a good last song.
Miley wrote the first song on her CD — See You Again . I believe it was called "She's just being Miley," because that was how it was credited in a magazine. It's nice, but has a very different sound than Hannah's songs. Miley is a great song writer.
"East Northumberland High" was one of the few songs Miley did not write. It is very high energy and is really rock more than anything. So, now she's sang Pop, Country (Like her Daddy), and Rock. Miley sang it well. I just wonder: where is East Northumberland High?
Track three is very good to dance to. Ironically (not really), it's called "Let's Dance." This was written by Miss Cyrus. I really like the melody more than anything! Amazing. I really want to get up and dance.
Maddy is 17 and starts her senior year of high school this fall. She is an active writer for her school paper and excels in AP classes. She has a twin and loves the Pittsburgh Steelers. She has a radio show (part of the BC Radio Network) on Wednesdays at 5 PM available at BlogTalkRadio.

That is a great review of Hannah's CD! I like Nobody's Perfect a lot though. It might be my favorite song.
