<description>I agree with you that in the right hands, the two songs are separate and distinct slabs of garage rock greatness. And as a Kinks fan, I can&#039;t disrespect the mighty &quot;Louie Louie&quot; chords: they provided the foundation for Ray Davies&#039; earliest hits, after all. But on the Brummels&#039; disc, the essential sameness of the two songs&#039; construction is unfortunately highlighted by the performances . . .</description>

<description>Nice call on the sad case of the Brummels but I disagree with your assessment that Louie Louie and Hang on Sloopy are essentially the same. I&#039;ll grant you the 3 chords but I wouldn&#039;t dis these two great songs like that. </description>
