We Aren't Scared, Are Wie?

Play at this year's U.S. Women's Open has been suspended mid-second round due to rain, so Michelle has not teed off yet, but she opened with an 82. That was Michelle's 22nd consecutive round over par, and at the current pace of play, she will need to break her streak, and par, by at least a few strokes just to make the cut.
The best part of it all? Michelle's take on the situation.
"It's just a very fine line between shooting 69 and what I shot today [...] my scores aren't showing the way I'm playing."
I may be a poor judge of such things, since I am not a particularly good golfer myself, but I think the line between shooting 11 over par and two under par is rather broad. Especially when you consider that Michelle actually made a number of fantastic bogey- or par-saving shots just to tally that score, so it could very easily have been that dreaded 88.
I'm not sure what mish-mash of factors has contributed to this current chasm for Wie, though a number stand as possible culprits. Could it be her being rushed in as the next big thing, destined for greatness, when she was still developing her game and who she was? Her stubborn insistence to play in PGA tournaments when she wasn't succeeding consistently on the LPGA Tour yet? Whatever the case may be, it could be time for Michelle to take a step back and re-evaluate what she has in front of her, before there's nothing left to look at.

Edit: Wie started her second round today on the 10th hole, finished her first nine holes at +6 (+17 overall) and withdrew from the tournament.
