Dine Like a King at Rao's, Las Vegas
Published June 23, 2007
Maybe finally you can get a table at the impossible-to get-into legendary Rao's. But to feast on the renowned cuisine you are going to have to go a bit further than Harlem. One plane ticket, a few rolls of the dice later, and you can be scarfing down lemon chicken at Rao's new outpost in Las Vegas at Caesar's Palace.
Shira Lazar gets a taste of ambrosia when she sits down with co-owners Frank Pellegrino Jr. and Ron Straci to sample some food. Taking the same care in preparation as an Italian grandmother, Rao's has dazzled diners for generations. Pictures of celebrities who have enjoyed the famed fare grace the walls of the new establishment. And one way this Vegas version beats the New York one is dining al fresco under the transitioning indoor sky at Caesar's Forum shops.
You can gamble all night long in Vegas, but the odds of an amazing meal are squarely in your favor at Rao's. It's one table at which you are guaranteed to be a winner.
