i look at Ozzy as a kind of cartoon... which is why i was able to enjoy the show i saw a few years ago (can't remember which year... Rob Zombie opened)

funny you should mention Angeldust. that was the record that i listened to when a big fan/friend of mine recommended them. i just remember not liking it at all. maybe i should revisit it.

I have to agree with Tom.. KFAD & Album of the Year are two of my favs(Most FNM "fans" never "got them" anyways) but Angeldust was such a pioneering statement for them though it is dated. Between the Buried and Me released a killer tribute version of "Malpractice". Anyways, Puffy is just a kick ass drummer and his talent is being wasted (My Opinion)

Mark... Like I said, Ozzy doesn't piss me off, I USED to love his solo shite and will always give him credit for those two worthy albums but his new stuff is just like his reality show...Pointless and not worth mentioning.

Again, thanks for the enlightening on The Bad Plus. That album is so good when I wanna chill out and that Tom Sawyer cover f*cking kicks!!

Aw, Mark, I have to disown you know for the FNM remark. Their older stuff hasn't aged so well, but King For A Day and Album Of The Year, both albums that fans and critics kind of wrote off initially, have held up and turned out to be their best material. I put it up there as some of Patton's best work, actually. If you haven't heard them, give those two a shot - drastically different than what came before.

geezuz man, did i say everything on this list was out there? no. sorry, somehow it give me comfort that Ozzy pisses people off, even in his supposed lameness.

"That's why a week that tilts toward the "out there" is still a good week."

Come On Mark...Then you ruin it by putting the new Ozzy release?!? I don't waste my energy hating Ozzy because there are quite a few new Metal releases out that are really good, it's just that his material is far from "Out There". Truly, it's just plain old boring crap with lyrics that don't make you think much at all.

And they got the drummer from FNM... That pisses me off!!! I feel he could do alot better...
