Bubble Frenzy Remix
Writer: Brian Szabelski

Bubble Frenzy Remix is yet another in the many bubble-popping puzzle games that are available. If you've ever played Bubble Bobble or Snood, or have even seen those games being played, then you know what to expect: match up three or more of one kind of bubble to clear the screen of everything and keep advancing. Pretty simple, right? Well, Bubble Frenzy Remix adds to that with four different modes (Bubble Puzzle, Endless Wave, Timed Puzzle and Bubble Battle) to try and bring some new challenges to the genre.

It honestly appears as if Bubble Frenzy Remix has only one song, which just loops over and over again. Graphically, the game doesn't stack up that well against other Bubble Bobble clones and the bubbles themselves lack a true roundness. On top of all of that, there are far too many kinds of bubbles, often resulting in my frustration as I had to find spaces to store them while I waited for the right color bubble to appear. If you're trying to find a bubble-busting puzzle game, you might be able to do a bit better than what Bubble Frenzy Remix has to offer.

Mr. Smoozles Goes Nutso
Writer: Brian Szabelski

Mr. Smoozles Goes Nutso has perhaps the most unique name of any game I've ever heard of. The characters and some references to the game come from a British online comic, but the game's developers have done a pretty good job of making a game that anyone can play.

The basis of the game is that you, playing as a cat named Ed, must save the planet. The Goragons have invaded Earth and are using Mr. Smoozles' house for their base. Not only have they affected his mind, they have warped reality. Ed must free his friends, restore normality - and Mr. Smoozles' mind - and defeat the Goragons' plans.

The game looks good, but the game play itself is basic. You have to run around, finding keys, gems and items to use to save your friends, as well as solve puzzles. All the while, you have to avoid the possessed Mr. Smoozles, who sports a ray gun.

Overall, Mr. Smoozles Goes Nutso is a pretty solid game that should entertain you and provide a good level of challenge. Fans of action games with puzzles and mazes should enjoy this game greatly.
