TV Review: Painkiller Jane - "Toy Soldiers"
Published April 23, 2007
As they do they zombie army falls. Eric is still alive and it makes me wonder what happens to him. Will the disaffected youth get recruited later?
What did I have in common with this boy who didn't even shave yet? ... He funneled his torment onto dead people. Me, I'm still trying to find my funnel?
"I had this under control," Vasco tells McBride as they walk away from the downed Eric.
"Didn't look that way from where I was standing. You okay?"
"No I'm not okay, you shot me."
"I shot through you."
"You could have killed me."
"But didn't."
"Not that the thought hadn't crossed your mind."
"Maybe."
"Just not this time."
The final soliloquy narration goes back to distractions as Vasco tries to call her dad on her cell phone but hangs up as he answers, and takes another big gulp of wine. Miss Jane likes the alcohol.
Giving your kids stuff to make up for not having time to talk to them can have serious consequences ... The problem with distractions, cookies, balloons, Brad Pitt, is that they never really solve anything. Okay, maybe Brangelina. The point is, most keep you from having to face your problems ... If you avoid them, you end up not leading an honest life.
Next episode, Tech Nerd's mind is stolen and Jane has to hit 4,000 volts, among other things, to save him.

This is on Tuesday night as well. I had the thought earlier today that I like calling this "TV Recap" better. However, I should either do more of a review, which with me would just be a lot of nitpicking, or change title to "Recap" in the future.
Is this too long. Too much detail? I'm thinking yes on both but could be wrong.
