Product Review: The C.L.I.C.K Handbag - Stylish and Functional
Published April 23, 2007
I love a small handbag. For day-to-day use, I carry a large bag because there are a zillion things I need throughout the day: my wallet, cell phone, sunglasses, iPod, hand cream, multiple lip glosses (to match every outfit and mood), and business cards. Who knows what else lurks in the dark recesses of my bag? When it comes to an evening bag, I love a little clutch that forces me to pare down my totables.
What I love even more than clutches are wristlets: the tiny cuteness of a clutch, with the added security of a strap. With my tiny wrists, a wristlet seems to turn into a shoulder bag. Enter the C.L.I.C.K. bag from Moe Designs. The acronym stands for Cell Phone, Lip Gloss, ID, Cash, and Keys - all the necessities for an evening out. They all fit easily without creating unsightly bulges.

I can even fit my Sony CyberShot camera in the bag, which is about the size of a standard iPod. I never leave home without a camera because you never know when you are going to find something cool that you must document. The bag is without extraneous clasps, buckles, pockets, or hardware. It keeps things compact and lightweight.
My favorite aspect of the bag is the design. The round shape is soft and understated. The straps are constructed like the handles of a plastic shopping bag, with one twice the length of the other. The long strap slips into the smaller one, cinching the bag tight. Everything stays securely inside. As long as it is on your wrist, hooligans can't slip sticky fingers inside. The best part is that it remains securely on my wrist. I do not worry about it slipping off or losing track of it.

I am never one to follow Hollywood trends, but for those of you who do, the C.L.I.C.K. has been seen on the arms of starlets such as Rosario Dawson, Amber Valletta, and Jessica Biel. The bag will likely outlast the boy toy on the other arm. The C.L.I.C.K. bag is available in a wide range of colors, patterns, and fabrics. This one is made of sumptuous lamb leather in glistening gold. If you don't see anything you like, custom orders are available.
The designer, Mary Rambin, is a Houston native who has spent her entire life in the fashion industry, first as a model and then in photography and make-up. She moved into design when she realized she couldn't find a utilitarian evening bag. She is currently working on expanding her line to include other accessories. I will definitely be checking back to see what else she comes up with.
