Brad Delp Dies at Age 55 and the Daily Music and Tech News

Brad Delp, the singer for the band Boston, has died at age 55. Delp was found dead at his home in New Hampshire last Friday. Boston’s 1976 self-titled debut was one of the biggest selling albums of all time. It has told 17 million copies. Local authorities has found no sign of foul play in the death.
Turkey has lifted its ban on YouTube.. The ban was placed a Turkish court on Wednesday because there was material on it that insulted Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey. Turkish law forbids slandering Ataturk or to “insult Turkishness”. The video was posted by a Greek YouTube user and has been part of a back and forth between Greek and Turkish YouTube users that some of called a “virtual war”.
Cyndi Lauper Heads Out on Gay Rights Tour
Cyndi Lauper is set to hit the road on a Gay Rights tour. The tour will hit fifteen cities in the US. Dubbed the True Colors Tour, it will kick off this Year’s Gay and Lesbian Pride Month in Las Vegas on June 8th. Debbie Harry, The Dresden Dolls, Erasure, The Misshapes, and The Gossip will also be taking part in the tour. The shows will be hosted by Margaret Cho and some of the dates will have special guests such as The Indigo Girls, Rosie O’Donnell and Rufus Wainwright. Some of the proceeds of the tour will go to the Human Rights Campaign.
