Mars Volta to Tour and The Daily Music and Tech News

The Mars Volta have announced a short tour. The band will hit the road and play 10 dates in Australia, New Zealand, and California. The band are touring in support of last year's Amputechture. The dates run through March and April.
Trojan Attack Claims Several Victims
Malicious websites have been installing Trojan phishing programs that allow hackers to compromise banking credentials, security advisors have warned. The code, which is on websites that are hosted in Estonia, Germany and England exploits the MS06-014 vulnerability. Users with vulnerable PCs are redirected to a site that downloads an iexplorer.exe file while it tells users the site is temporarily busy. Security advisors suggest that there have been 1,000 infections a day.
Google Says Anti-piracy Tools Priority
Google has said that it will soon offer anti-piracy tools to help copyright holders protect themselves against unauthorized video sharing. YouTube, which is owned by Google, plans to offer tools that assist companies in finding pirated material. Google said that the tools will be available soon, but have not yet given a date as to when they will be available.
