Ratchet and Clank Ready to Go Portable

Everyone's favorite lombax is finally hitting the road as the Ratchet & Clank series finally hits the PSP next month.

The game continues to follow the heroic duo as they attempt to relax for once through a much-needed vacation. However, after being lured on a mysterious quest and trailing a kidnapped girl, Ratchet and Clank rediscover a forgotten race of inventors known as Technomites. Of course, this cuts the heroes' vacation short as their new adventure kicks off in an original story.

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, developed by High Impact Games, has been made exclusively for the PSP to accommodate from one to four players. The game is billed as following the roots of the series with new and returning weapons and gadgets including the Mootator, Agents of Doom and shrink ray. Six different armor types give Ratchet a variety of offensive and defensive abilities and powers to progress through the game.

In addition to the game's story mode, all new combat arena missions can be played in Size Matters and features intergalactic hover boarding. Multiplayer will also be available via Ad-Hoc or infrastructure modes for up to four players in Iron Lombax, capture the flag or death match modes.

The weapons get ridiculous once again as Sony plans to launch Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters on Feb. 13.
