Myspace to broadcast Amber Alerts
Myspace.com is teaming up with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Under the partnership, Myspace.com will release Amber Alert broadcasts. The broadcast will appear as a text box at the top of profiles of users in surrounding zip codes with an option to click for more information such as a photograph of the missing person. Users with information are then urged to contact local law enforcement. The program is set to begin today.
New Pornographers head to the studio
The New Pornographers have headed to the studio to work on the follow-up to 2005's Twin Cinema. This will be their fourth album. It is as yet untitled and said to be tentatively slated for this Fall. The release will be on Matador Records.
Sean Paul has released details on his upcoming album. The release will be the follow-up to 2005's The Trinity. Sean Paul has said that the new album will be darker than the previous album, with lyrical content focusing more on kids in the streets than partying. There has been no confirmed release date for the album.
