Phil Spector Trial Set for March
The date of the Phil Spector's murder trial has been set for March 19th. The process will begin that day with jury selection and the court proceedings will start the following month. Spector was arrested in February of 2003 after the body of Lana Clarkson was found at his home in Alhambra, California.
Apple May Allow FairPlay Crack
Apple through their Made for iPod Program may allow makers of electronics that make equipment sends music to be played throughout the home to decode their Digital Rights Management technology. It is unclear whether Apple will be more broadly licensing FairPlay. This has been called for by many of its iTunes rivals, which would like to be able to sell music for Apples iPod.
Kirsten Hersh to Release New Record
The former frontwoman of Throwing Muses is set to release a new solo album. The singer will be previewing some of the tracks online. The new album, Learn to Sing Like a Star will be released on January 23rd in the US and the 29th in the UK.
