DVD Review: American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile (Unrated Version)
Published December 20, 2006
Ever see a mean, vicious little person? You will when you see Rock. He’s mean, he fights dirty, and he’s not afraid to tell you off. Between the intramural football game where the midgets fight dirty — they bite and kick in sensitive areas; the bar fights over women; and the scene where the Rock's frat come out of a van, attack Adam and give him a beat-down to prevent him from running in the Naked Mile had me in stitches. The scenes between Rock and Adam enhance the comedy of this movie.
And how could you have an American Pie movie without an appearance by Mr. Levenstein (Eugene Levy)? Though his son is off and married, presumably continuing kinky relations with ultimate band camp wife (see American Wedding for the full story), Levenstein still imparts fatherly advice wherever he can. He appears several times throughout the film to give his quirky insight to both Erik and Tracy, but most importantly as the guest-of-honor who kicks off the Naked Mile. As Adam explains, Levenstein was the wildest student the campus had ever seen. In the end we get to what the movie promises, the Naked Mile, and since I got the unrated version, more jiggling and chest shots.
Bonus features for this DVD include:
· Director’s commentary
· Two featurettes
· Outtakes
· Deleted and extended scenes
· The funny "Yoga Guide for Getting Girls" (unrated edition only), which helps you master the basics of picking up women at yoga class
· "The Bare Essentials," a no-holds-barred view of the Naked Mile sequence
Overall this movie was fun, with the gross-out humor we’ve come to expect from the American Pie series. It also had a healthy serving of heart, and while nothing can top the original American Pie, The Naked Mile is a worthy addition to the series. All I can say is bring on the next installment!

The Naked Mile scenes were quality, but way too short. If you're making a movie about the Naked Mile, and you're paying actresses to run around naked, why not show a little more of it.
In the end, tho, I prefer the real Naked Mile:
