BitTorrent to Work With Big Studios
BitTorrent has announced it will be launching an online media service in February of next year. They said they have inked a number of deals with TV networks and movie studios and that using its peer-to-peer technology it will sell movies, music, games and TV shows that are licensed by their new partners. They new store will be at BitTorrent.com
Twisted Black Sentenced to Life in Prison
Rapper Twisted Black, whose real name is Tommy Burns, has been sentenced to life in prison for drug distribution. It has been reported that a witness testified that Twisted Black and rapper Zet were dealing a kilo of cocaine about every three weeks in 2005. Twisted Black was arrested in Midland, Texas in July.
Thom Yorke's Next Video to be Overseen by a Student Director
Thom Yorke of Radiohead is planning on turning over the next video from his solo album to student directors. The video will be for "The Clock" which is on Yorke's album The Eraser. The video is part of a promotional project for college students as part of the D&AD Global Student Awards.
