Google Says No More Answers and The Daily Music and Tech News

Google has announced that it will put to rest its Google Answers service. The service allowed users to submit questions over the internet to have answered by researchers for a fee. Google has not said why it will no longer run the service. The service will stop taking questions this week, although it will continue accepting answers until the end of the year. Google says that it will maintain the service's archive for online browsing.
NBC Universal has announced that it will show the lighting of its Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center virtually on Wednesday. The lighting will be held in conjunction with Second Life and will be accessible from both NBC's website and Second Life's website.
The band Low have set a release date for their next album. Guns and Drums is due out in stores next year on March 30th. The album is a follow up to 2005's The Great Destroyer and comes now that the band has overcome some difficulties. Guns and Drums will be released on Sub Pop.
