Biggun_2 Dark imagery is masterfully displayed throughout this film. From the incredibly absorbing shots of a decrepit cemetery early in the story, to the scenes of the broken down farmhouse halfway through, Sin-Jin Smyth creates an amazingly strong vision. While the dark political message that is hammered home in this near apocalyptic future that Dettenmaier has created may be too much for some people to take, it still makes it's hard-hitting impact with humor and inventiveness that is unlike anything I've seen in quite a while.

Veteran actors Kevin Gage (Heat, GI Jane), as a sledgehammer-wielding agent known as Dax, and John Philbin (Tombstone, Point Break) in the role of heavy weapons expert Cable Sixx, add even more credibility to this project. With appearances by Chris Doyle, Jenna Jameson and Billy Duffy of The Cult, Charles Cyphers, Billy Morrison, Greg Travis and WWE Diva Jacqueline Moore in a powerhouse role as an agent Jmooreknown only as The Engine--and a few surprises best not to reveal here--Sin-Jin Smyth has all the makings of a cult classic.

Masters of scary music, Midnight Syndicate, earn their involvement by delivering an incredibly disturbing score, and writer/director Ethan Dettenmaier brings it all together with his vision of an old story told in a completely new way. It's obvious to see why this film was nominated for the Spike TV Screamfest Award for Most Anticipated Film Of 2007. Thanks Bruce! I can't wait to see what those unconventional bad guys look like. And don't miss Ethan's interview for Channel 66.6 HM ~ Haunted Radio. He talks about what started him on the path to horror, his favs, and the production hell he traveled to get the devil, and Sin-Jin Smyth, to the big screen in 2007. Start warming up the popcorn.
