The new CD from Naledge & Double O are Kidz In The Hall is about to hit the shelves on Halloween. The title of the album is School Was My Hustle. Check out what Naledge & Sway had to say about the city of Chicago, the future of hip hop, and the re-launch of Rawkus Records on a recent episode of MTV's My Block Chicago. If you've bee under a rock and haven't heard the controversary surrounding how Jay-Z got the track for his new single, then you must check out this video featuring producer Just Blaze & producer Double O in the studio. You can also listen to the Naledge & Double O song using the track.

The debut album, Look at Me, from Cadillac Don and J Money features guest appearances from Bun B and Paul Wall. Check out streaming audio of the title track (clean|explicit).

The visual madness and horrors of war are the threads running through the just-completed promo video for Slayer's "Eyes of the Insane," set to debut today. The song is on the band's newest album, Christ Illusion (American Recordings). Directed by Iranian filmmaker Tony Petrossian (Slipknot), "Eyes of the Insane" is a first-person narrative about the horrors leading up to the final moments of a solder at war. The entire video is a single, long and tight close-up of the soldier's eye with images clearly reflected within his pupil and iris and perfectly choreographed with the rhythm of the music. Reflected are disconcerting images of para trooping into enemy territory, gunfire, helicopters and tanks, explosions, poignant flashbacks of his wife and child and home, and the images of his death. Two endings were filmed - one where the soldier dies from his combat injuries, and the other where he commits suicide.

In honor of Ex-Lion Tamer getting healthy and back out stage, the featured Über Indie player is their song "Shaky":

Katamine is a collaborative acoustic project that joins a changing cast of artists with the haunting music of successful singer/songwriter Assaf Tager (ex-guitarist for Elliot Smith, composer for Moloko, etc). The concept was developed to create a free flowing trade of ideas, in which each artist and musician adds their own unique motives and layers to Tager's already densely beautiful work. They are now in the US recording with Wharton Tiers (Sonic Youth, Helmet, Nick Cave, etc) and touring on the success of their record Lag.
