It's a short one this week with only two guests, but they are two guests who have something of a complimentary theme. Sort of. Okay, I admit I am reaching here, but I think you will see what I mean.
Ken Edwards - Blogcritics Gaming Editor: Ken joins us to discuss the upcoming release of Guitar Hero 2! Ken tells you all about how you can go to Rock & Roll Heaven — and you know they've got a hell of a band.
Joan Hunt - Managing Editor: Joan is with us to give me a hard time about not getting up with her last week. She also talks about the Mannish Boys, Taj Mahal, and others. She and I then degenerate into a conversation about the role of the encore.

ok, so i know i'm not a game guy and all...but wouldn't it be more fun to learn how to play guitar instead of playing a simulation? even for somebody who can't master the F chord?
The only game I play is Madden. I can't bring myself to be a PlayStation Guitar Hero.
Thats a shame DJR. It has an Easy Mode, and a Practice Mode. It is the ultimate for any air guitar maven like yourself.
I think I speak for all of America when I say the world is dying for a YouTube video of Gameboy playing "Margaritaville" on his GH video game.
There is no parrot head love in GH2, I am sad to say :(
I enjoy the imagery of a "Hero" guitar playing DJRadiohead. :)
A short show...but still entertaining.
I hope that the sentiments expressed last week were not a result of a small guest list. ;)
I kept waiting for you and Sahm to take the bait and join in the fun. My feelings were hurt. ;)
Actually, we are in the middle of putting together the next Magic Junk podcast. Please keep the bait fresh so that we may take a bite sometime soon. ;)
I can't believe no one has picked up the mantle of the encore discussion. Surely Saleski disagrees with me.
ok, ok...certainly the whole encore schtick is kinda old and worn out, though to be honest it's never really bothered me all that much.
on the other hand, there are times when it's used just to give the bandmembers a break. Springsteen shows are a perfect example.

Josh Hathaway is

Yea that was a stretch. But at least they are both music related.
Please excuse me, I have to go practice my Darth Vadar breathing now.
