Casbah Coffee Club Awarded Special Status
Liverpool’s Casbah Coffee Club has been awarded a Grade II listed building status by the British government. The order comes after a recommendation by the English Heritage. The Beatles performed at the venue in 1959 as the Quarrymen. They then played a series of shows in the Coffee Club before it was closed in 1962.
Warner Music And Youtube Ink Partnership
YouTube.com and Warner Music Group have joined together in a partnership that will allow YouTube to provide content by Warner artists such as music videos, original programming, and behind-the-scenes footage. In addition to the agreement will allow YouTube users to use Warner Music in videos they create.
Complaint Against Google Upheld In Belgian Court
Copiepresse, a Belgian organization that handles copyrights for German and French speaking press within Belgium lodged a complaint against the popular search engine Google for using copyrighted content in the news section of their Belgian version of their website. The court’s ruling issued the company a daily 1 million euro fine for everyday past Monday the content was available.
