Pinback set to release rarities

San Diego band Pinback are set to release a collection of rarities entitled Nautical Antiques. The CD will contain eleven tracks, some of which have not been available on CD in the U.S. before such as “Byzantine”. The CD will also include demos of “Concrete Sounds” and “Seville” and previously unreleased versions of “Avignon” and “Messenger”.

Google to provide eBay with ads outside the U.S.

eBay has announced it will rely on Google Inc.for its text advertising outside of the U.S. It also announced the two companies would work together on “click to call” ads, which will put users in touch with customer service operators.

Hamilton expected to rejoin Aerosmith by mid-October

Aerosmith Bassist Tom Hamilton recently underwent a course of radiation treatment for throat cancer and is taking some time off to recuperate. He is expected to join the band by mid-October while they are touring with Motley Crue. Aerosmith will be releasing a greatest hits album in October, which is said to contain some new material. David Hull will be filling in for Hamilton while he is recovering.

My Chemical Romance bottled at festival

My Chemical Romance were pelted repeatedly by bottles and other objects during their performance at the main stage at Carling Weekend: Reading Festival. The band continued to play their set despite of all the flying debris. My Chemical Romance will be releasing their third studio album this coming October.
