Dashboard Confessional Prepare to Hit the Road

Dashboard Confessional are headed out on the road in October. The band has announced a seven date tour in support of Dusk and Summer. The tour will begin on October 13 in Mesa, Arizona and will conclude in Rosemont, Illinois on the 27th. The other cities the band will be visiting include San Diego, Bakersfield, San Jose, Las Vegas, and Orem, Utah.

Apple Makes Creative Settlement

Apple has settled the lawsuit with Creative Technology over patents. Apple will pay Creative $100 million dollars and Creative will be making iPod accessories starting later in the year. The settlement is meant to resolve all of the differences between the two companies, including the five lawsuits currently pending.

AOL to Offer Movie Downloads

AOL has announced it will offer movie downloads from four Hollywood studios. The movies will be available through AOL Video, which was launched in August, and will run from $9.99 to $19.99 per movie. The studios currently participating in the service include Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group, and Twentieth Century Fox.
