Tom Waits to release 3-disc album
Tom Waits will release a 3-disc album in November. The 54-track album will contain 24 tracks from Waits’ archives and 30 new recordings. Of the unreleased tracks from the archives, many had originally been written for movies or for the theatre. The album is named Orphans. The disc will be broken up into three different subsection “Bawlers”, “Brawlers,” and “Bastards”.
eBay goes mobile
Starting today, eBay members using mobile phone company O2's active service can access the website from the mobile phones. Users will be able to login to eBay, search, bid, and watch items from their phones. eBay has been available on O2 through its i-mode since January and today’s change opens up the service to O2's main portal.
Boeing steps back from in-flight Internet
Boeing Co. has announced it will wind down its program of offering Internet on board airplanes. Cost pressures have made it unlikely that Internet will be available any time in the near future. The process of upgrading planes has been described as similar to rewiring an office, which is expensive and requires downtime.
