Brain Age reaches record sales
Nintendo today announced Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day has now surpassed sales of 4 million units worldwide.

Having been released in Japan for more than a year now, the title has been sold to about 3 million Japanese gamers. On top of that figure, with recent releases outside of Japan, 600,000 copies in North America and 500,000 in Europe have been sold. The titles have been spotted on numerous best-selling charts and Nintendo notes the sales for Brain Age hold steady week after week.

The company attributes the game's easy to pick up and play appeal to Brain Age's success and highlights Nintendo's goal of expanding the audience of gamers.

Big Brain Academy, the second title in the "brain" series released stateside, has already sold more than 250,000 units.

Atari announces publishing partnerships
Atari recently announced two partnerships that will bring a couple more games to U.S. retailers.

The Xbox 360 title Bullet Witch has finally found a U.S. publisher after AQ Interactive inked a publishing partnership with Atari.

The title, which is soon to be released in Japan, marks the beginning of an ongoing relationship between the two companies. Bullet Witch will have players controlling Alicia, who is, if you haven't guessed already, a witch. Not only does she have the obvious magical abilities but also some mean weaponry.

The title promises to take advantage of the hardware's physics by implementing massive environmental damage.

While no Xbox Live multiplayer features were noted, Atari will host downloadable content for the game, including extra levels.

Atari also partnered with Pat Sajak Games and will be releasing Pat Sajak's Lucky Letters for Windows to retailers. The game is based on a current online game and will contain enhanced features not available in the online version.

The game, scheduled for a late 2006 release, will contain three variations of the game, Pat Sajak's commentary and more than 30,000 clues and answers.
