The solo is to this day one of the best. The song was a tribute to a great mad and friend of the band. Thy did have the rebel flag but were not racist. Many of the songs had good messages over looked due to the fact of Free bird/ Sweet Home Alabama. Simple man was a great song as well as Needle and the spoon. Lynyrd Skynyrd is to this day one of the most underrated bands in history.
