Suzie Pollard loves to act, but her other passion is dancing. As a young girl, she danced to everything from tap and jazz to hip hop and cheerleading to ballet. She won awards and scholarships. She even was given the name “Miss International Photogenic.”

Once, she danced at half time at an NFL game — Buffalo Bills VS the Green Bay Packers. For a while, she danced on cruise ships, allowing her to visit four continents. After her cruise ship journeys ended, Miss Pollard headed to Hollywood.

Before landing the role as Dawn on Beyond the Break, she hosted the MTV show Burned and got the lead role in a short film called Mary. In 2005, she was given the role of Dawn on Beyond the Break. Dawn is the party girl. She has loads of cash and basically can do anything she wants. Although, she does get herself in a fair amount of trouble. Shoe (Jason Tam), her coach's personal assistant who is in charge of keeping the boards washed, has a huge crush on her. Beyond the Break has its season finale tomorrow, Friday, at 8:30 ET on the-N. Season 2 has been picked up and is scheduled to premiere in early 2007.

Before acting, you did a lot of dancing (tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet, and cheerleading). What's your favorite type of dance?

It's hard for me to pick just one type of dance. I love tap, jazz, and musical theatre the best!

What is your biggest accomplishment as an actress so far?

Booking Beyond the Break! I've done some commercials, guest stars, and supporting roles in movies but this was the first job that I would be one of the leads! I was very excited!

Suzie
What was your first reaction when you found out you were going to star as Dawn in a show that reaches 8 million households?

When I first heard that I got the job out of hundreds of girls I started to cry. Tears of joy, a sense of relief and a feeling of validation. I WAS THRILLED!!!!!!

Did you know how to surf before starring on Beyond the Break? If not, was it hard learning to surf in such a short amount of time?
