Microsoft Creates Password Protected Folder for Personal Information

Microsoft is giving out free software called Private Folder 1.0 that will allow people to store sensitive information in a password protected folder on their computers at work and at home. The software is meant to keep information private from others who have access to the machine or the account, such as colleagues or family members. Those interested in downloading the software must first run the Windows Genuine Advantage program, Microsoft’s controversial anti-piracy tool.


Wu-Tang Clan to Tour This Summer

The living original members of the Wu-Tang Clan will be touring this summer starting in Phoenix, AZ on August 3rd. The tour will include shows along the West Coast, New York City and Philadelphia ending in Florida on August 25th. The tour will feature two dates at Rock the Bells Festival IV concerts where the Clan will participate in a tribute to Ol’ Dirty Bastard, one of the original members of the clan, who died in 2004 of an overdose. The Wu-Tang Clan will also play at this year’s New Orleans’ Voodoo Music Experience.


British Phonographic Industry Call on ISPs to Suspend Accounts of File Sharers.

BPI has asked Internet Service Providers Tiscali and Cable &Wireless to suspend accounts it believes are used for swapping copyrighted music files. The BPI have won court battles against file-sharers in the past by gathering evidence using the file-sharing networks.


Paul Weller Announces Winter Tour

Paul Weller has announced that he will be touring this winter in the UK and Ireland. The tour will include 15 dates starting in Dublin on Novermber17th. The tour is set to end in London on December 7th. Weller will be playing in Newcastle, Glasgow, Sheffield, Manchester, Brighton, Poole, Gloucester, and Wolverhampton. Tickets will be pre-sold on paulweller.com starting on Wednesday and will go on general sale on Friday.
