TV Review: Entourage - Season 3, Episode 2
Published June 22, 2006
Ari is talking to girls too, his wife and his therapist (Nora Dunn). By now, the blackouts have been felt all around the state, and the numbers are not so good. All this adds to Ari’s frustration, and he’s not in the most receptive mood to fully appreciate the therapy session. His phone keeps ringing, and finally, despite his wife’s disapproval, he answers because, “It’s fucking Vince!”
When Ari speaks with E, he finds out that Vince has been hoping to beat the Spider-Man numbers. Ari is all over E for letting their client get false hopes. He tells him that things are not good now, due to the rolling blackouts.
E must tell the rest the news and they take it as philosophically as they can. They get drunk. Vince figures it’s now or never, and up on the roof he goes, a bit smashed, telling the kids that these are the best years of their life. I am SO glad he didn’t declare himself a Golden God. That would have been too much to take.
E, Drama and Turtle just keep enjoying the party. Ari shows up — he had mentioned he’d come over and hold Vince’s hand. But he has a surprise. It turns out that the blackouts didn’t mess things up after all, only delayed the reporting of the numbers — and even better, the projections were up to $116 million. Even more reason to party, and Ari joins in the fun, shot-gunning a beer and getting thrown in the pool. Vince ends up giving the keys to the Maserati to his new young friends, and as they leave the party with Ari, the scene closes out with the Rare Earth tune, “I Just Want to Celebrate”.
